Teaching the civil war was our main topic during the 4 days workshop offered by Forumzfd. During 4 days, we discussed why we need to reach this critical period of our history, what to teach young students and the best approach for it.
We talked about violence, its types and manifestations, and about non-violence and its methods. We stopped at the meaning of participating in the war and the responsibility of everyone who lived through it.
The workshop comes within a long track to present new approaches that contribute to the development of history education in Lebanon and restoring its role in promoting deep knowledge of the past and building higher-order thinking skills, values and positive attitudes.
