Capacity Building
We have all lived the war in Lebanon in one way or another; whether we have gone through it physically or not.
Although “Dealing with the Past” and “Memory of War” are controversial topics, it is important to go through this experience as part of the healing process and use it as a means to keep an open mind in a diverse country like Lebanon.
On May 7 and 8, forumZFD and STEPs conducted a very interactive and transparent workshop attended by our LAH facilitators and team members.
The sessions and activities were fun and influential, targeting several topics like the memory of the civil war, conflict patterns, and multi-perspectivity… Several group work activities and role-play sessions helped in better understanding the art of communication during conflict and helped in maintaining a tolerant approach towards different narratives of the war rather than focusing on our personal experiences and one coherent narrative.
