The book “Towards a Path of History Education Improvement in Lebanon Summaries and Recommendations of the Conference “Talks about the Trends and Approaches for History Education in Lebanon” 2021″ has been recently released by the Lebanese History Association, coordinated by Dr. Amin Elias. .

The book includes a preface by the president of the association, and five papers: 1 – Towards a path to developing history education in Lebanon, by Dr. Amin Elias, 2 – Unlocking history curriculum reform in Lebanon, by Dr. Bassel Akar, 3 – Lebanon’s History Curriculum Crisis and How to Get out of It, by Dr. Simon Abdel Masih, 4 – Adopted Program for Training Teachers of Social Sciences (History) at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Lebanese University, written by Dr. Asia Al-Muhtar, 5 – A Discussion on History Education in the Lebanese Republic: Between Expectation and Reality, written by Dr. Nada Hassan.

Based on this book-conference, the association seeks to pave the way to further discussion and communication with all those concerned with teaching history in Lebanon with the aim of developing the teaching of this subject with all that this development requires, such as building the capacity of teachers and cooperating with the concerned authorities in order to advocate for a new curriculum in line with our vision of building a free and creative Lebanese citizen..
