A project, made possible through a grant from the Open Society Foundation, which aims to develop and support research and archiving skills among history teachers, to enhance their capacities to research, extrapolate, analyze and prepare history resources that enrich the learners’ experience and bring in a variety of perspectives into history classrooms.

The project culminated in the production of a virtual platform, Massader.net, a space for teachers to share resources, offering a wide range of topics that can be tackled from multiple perspectives. The platform, launched in March 2021, currently has more than 200 entries including historical texts, manuscripts, photos, videos, illustrations, and other types of sources essential in providing a rich learning experience. The entries are well referenced and provide suggestions of enquiry lines that could be followed with students. All the entries are uploaded by users, mostly teachers, and categorized by type, historical period, subject, and provide keywords that help users easily navigate through the platform.

LAH has organized several workshops that were a combination of capacity building for teachers, training them on historical thinking, in addition to using the platform and the collection of history resources, in different countries across the Arab World and in Lebanon.

Several workshops have been held in Jordan, Egypt (both Alexandria and Cairo), Tunisia and Lebanon (Beirut, Aley) and two more are yet to come in Baalbeck and Tripoli.
