“Returning from Hell” was the focus of the roundtable organized by USEK’s Lebanese Heritage Foundation in collaboration with LAH. The event, which took place on September 8 and was streamlined online, is part of a series of roundtables launched this summer. The book, written by ex-detainee in Syria Mr. Ali Abou Dehn, tells his story in detention and sheds light on this still unresolved case marginalized by the Lebanese authorities. LAH’s President Dr. Amin Elias contributed to the discussion shedding light on the importance of such testimonies in contributing to dealing with the past and building sustainable peace in Lebanon.
