LAH in collaboration with the Centre for Lebanese Studies at the Lebanese American University (LAU) is launching its professional development program for 2017-2018

How do we make our students young historians?

The program aims at building participants’ capacities to develop disciplinary approaches to teaching history, produce teaching material that promotes critical thinking and evidence-based research and improve history teaching in Lebanon.

► The program takes place over 2 years and consists of 6 workshops of 2 days each.

‏►‏ The program includes individual mentoring and support to help teachers implement educational change in their classrooms.

‏►‏ Participation is open to Cycle III and Secondary history teachers.

‏►‏ Participants who complete this program will receive a certificate of achievement.

‏►‏ Workshops will take place at the LAU, Beirut Campus.

‏►‏ Accommodation will be offered free of charge to participants coming from outside Beirut.

‏►‏ Participation fees is 150 000 Lebanese Pounds for two years.

The workshops take place from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm as per the following schedule:
2017 13-14 January 24-25 February 7-8 April 6-7 October
2018 16-17 February 4-5 May
