“9 days of training/4 workshops in addition to 4 remote sessions as part of the program ‘Eye on the Past, Eye on the Future’ presented by the Lebanese Association for History in partnership with Forumzfd (2023-2024). In the final workshop we aimed to enhance historical concepts among the participants, particularly the concept of historical significance, where we addressed migration and its implications, as well as the Great Famine and its historical importance. The workshop also provided space for practical application of the knowledge gained throughout all the sessions. The facilitation team, which included professors Nayla Hamadeh, Leila Zahwi, Sabine Ghosn, and Dr. Hossam Mohieddine, was keen to provide interactive activities and spaces for reflection. Participants commented, ‘We are also grateful for LAH and this program to bring together and offer an apportunity to pull us out of our isolation and to meet colleagues from our regions and from all Lebanese regions ‘.
